Fatty need encouragement!!!
Question:
After reading so many threads talking about new generations go for looks & fatties are no hope to share the good love life others have... I really need encouragement from ppl here to keep me going... I was 30kg overwt before...now I am 18kg overwt..m loosing faith in loosing wt...blood pressure & others are normal. I am started to look into my diet already...replace rice with kuay teow or bee hoon..or eat only 1/4 of rice per meal...some time even lesser... eat more less fatty food + fiber... wanted to do brisk walking...how fast is good enough? 30mins walking enough? my target is loose 15kg by Oct...do you think i can make it? 4mths...15kg...thats alot... Answer: Sis, dun be disheartened can do it want! Btw if you are not suffering from any disorder, your metalbolism should be higher when you are younger.. 30 mins of brisk walk is a good start. First and foremost, distance is not really the factor for your brisk walk when your target is weight loss. You should be trying to do your brisk work between 55% to 75% of your target heart rate (THR) which is the fat burning zone. If you find it cumbersome to measure, try walking till you are slightly breathless but not out of breath. However, if you have a heart rate monitor, (i think Polar is the one in the market now) i can give you the formula for calculation to your fat burning zone. Can be done! Hang in there! Answer: erm.. can i say that kuay teow is oiler den rice? it is good that u lost 12kg already.. a good start.. good determination! =) Answer: Hit the gym and run the threadmill until you reach the 'cardiovascular' level. If you're hardworking, you can do it. Answer: No gym membership... Answer: go jogging everyday..confirm can lose weight Answer: if m pending that means m burning...thats a good guide. I plan to walk more than 6bus stop away from home..that should be good enough hor? jogging shoes can use as brisk walking? I remember a doc once told me we must at least walk 10k steps a day to burn 1k calories...I wanted to buy a counter that help counting steps...u know where to get? I have not manage to find it. how much is a heart rate monitor? Answer: oh..not that fried kuay teow...those normal ones at fish ball stalls...not counted very oily...carbo not as high as noodle & rice also. ever since i started eating this way..i can't stand oily/sweet food..i get gilat easily.. i get full easily too. So remaining food all goes to others or my bf..hahaha I wish i can be like those yan shi zhen..then can loose wt faster...hahahahaa... but i can't endure hunger....i must have food....hahaa Answer: Get one, it's worth it. Working with light weights can also tone your other body parts. Clubfitt gymnasiums are everywhere and it's quite cheap. Answer: For most women i think can train from home. Do some core exercises with resistance tubes and fitball. Light dumbbells should suffice. I trained ladies from their home with these too so i dont really see it a NEED for gym membership. It is also part of the induction process b4 they are confident enough to hit the gym. For the polar heart rate monitor, try the shop at marina square that sells all sort of boxing and gym gear. Its on the second floor.. cant remember the name but its a chinese name!! So if u look up the directory there should be easy The other shop is the solomon shop at Suntec City. I have seen the watches there. But you should call to ask if they still carry. Answer: shld just stay away from carbo, cos they are refined carbo, hard to break dwn or sth. unless you eat wholegrains or sth. after a while you'll find that your appetite getting smaller. cos actually eating carbo makes y ou crave for more carbo. public gyms? those near swimming pools and stadiums usually. costs only 2.50 per entry for adults. rmb to bring a towel. dont lose faith k! (: Answer: ok, will check at those shops.. those workout guides in SHAPE magazines are good enough also rite? They also have target areas to work on.. Answer: yup, i have dropped my carbo intake. during chinese meals, i'll share rice with my sis. in fact all gals at the table share rice..haha i can't take wholegrain/oats...i'll have constipation.. ..so i replace by eating more fiber & fruits... Swimming pools always crowded after office hrs & weekends...20ppl share a pool to swim the length.. locker so small somemore...i prefer to workout alone or brisk walking..best with someone along... now only relay on dieting... Answer: how much are they? I used to join gym membership b4..i love their classes. thai boxing,boxercise & combat..but ever since i shifted, location too far. I cancel the membership. Answer: Yes you can get some useful knowledge from the internet as well. Sorry but i havent read that mag leh keke.. Maybe you can try this book 'Fitness for Life'? There are some workout programs inside that u may find useful. Bringing yourself for brisk walk is a very good start. Do something achievable first. Dont push too far les u burn yourself out. Most non gym goer actually need to build on their side confidence more than anything and diving into a gym right away might not sometimes be such a good idea after all. Determination & focus is the key words here. Since you have till Oct? B4 u need to achieve certain goals, start each week by mapping out what you need to do. For etc, which day is for cardio, & which day some weight bearing exercises. Slowly but surely u should reach your goal! 加油! Answer: i'm talking bout the gyms you know. the clubfitt gyms. Will go check for this magazine tomorrow. yea, internet did provide infos..but no details on workout routines/guide though.. your advise is not do cardio everyday? e.g 1 day cardio, 1day exercise, 1day light exercise,then again the same routine? yup! I hope what I plan will be achieve. This week: Monday: slow walk Tues: bowling (company event) Wed: going shopping...maybe come back for 30~45min exercise... Thurs: Brisk walk Fri: exercise Sat: house chores + 30min brisk walk Sun: Swimming?? 15kg in 4mth...per mth I need to loose 3~4kg...thats alot!!! Answer: sorry, i dunno theres clubfit gyms... What is it? Where is it? how much is it? i only know those stadium/complex per entry $2.50 type, SAFRA, Planet Fittness, California Fittness, Amore, True Yoga... Answer: write down what you did , achieved and intended targets in a diary / blog it could serve as a reminder / motivator to spur you on. 15kg in 4 months is a bit too much for you . the previous weight was ezier to lose i suggest you go slow on the weight loss and gradually lose the weight , as if you lose your weight too fast , there tend to be a yo-yo effect of trying to conquer the food that you missed out on all the while , hence regaining the weight you lose Answer: i should say 4 mths lose a healthy 10kg..... Want to lose weight got to have sacrifices, can't complains this n that la.... blah blah.....
