Wanna confirm the formula for optimum amt of proteins

protein is also a form of energy jus like carbs and fats. due to protein's lower gylcemic index it doesnt become energy so rapidly as opposed to carbs. but if unused proteins which are not anabolised to become muscles are not burnt as energy, den it will be stored as fats. cos thats wot fats are, excess energy.

hrm after some research i think i might have been mistaken abt the exact definition of GI but i'm not sure. GI is only a measurement which applies only to carbohydrates? someone pls clarify.
